The resources that we are seeking are resources with a broad set of Back Up Restore (BUR) Infrastructure skills including specific skills with TSM, Networker and AVAMAR across various UNIX and Windows OS’s.

Roles and Responsibilities:
Provide BUR Infrastructure Engineering service for the HP Hosting (HP HS). HP HS hosts all the General Motors B2B sites. GM Hosting Services BUR team provide the following services:
1. Engineer standard BUR Infrastructure solutions for Hosting organization to support customer needs and SLAs.
2. Integrate standard BUR software components into the existing Hosting environment so that tools may be installed managed and supported from a central location
3. Create a repeatable software build based on specific client functional and security requirements.
4. Provide 3rd Level Production Infrastructure support
5. Provide support for a Development Environment which allows customers the ability to develop and test their applications before they are moved into production
6. Ensure that all solutions are properly tested and coply with customer security requirements.
7. Leverage existing corporate solution whenever possible, ensure solutions are properly documented and store solutions in central repository so that they may be easily leveraged.
Role Overview:
* Follow defined QMS process for Release Engineering or Technical Support.
* Gathering customer requirements and generating a detail estimate
* Design and engineer custom Web Infrastructure solutions
* Provide Operational support for the Pre-Production and Production Environments.
* Developing and communicating Infrastructure Standards to the Application Developers, vendors, and the GM Customer
* Provide Operational support for the Development Environment that we own.
* Design and engineer Template/Standard solutions that are used as is without modifications. Example: A standard Weblogic build that can be deployed as is for all sites within the environment.
Qualifications
Technical Skills and Experiences:
• Meets degree educational requirements or has equivalent work experience.
• At least four years of hands on experience with BUR technology
• Platforms: UNIX- (Linux,Solaris, HP-UX, AIX), VMware, Windows 2008, Windows 2003
• Meets web infrastructure-engineering skills in the following areas:
• Knowledge in Tivolli Storage Manager (TSM) infrastructure
• Knowledge in Networker infrastructure
• Knowledge in Avamar infrastructure
• Solid understanding in Networks, Firewalls, Routers, IP Filters
• Knowledge in UNIX and Windows Scripting
• Have at least three years of experience and a solid understanding of the BURenvironment.
• Unix System Administration I and II Certifications is required
• Solid skills in using MS Project is a plus
Non-technical Skills and Experiences:
