About the role
This role operates within the company's Global Business Services organization to provide high quality accountancy expertise and services to various client businesses within Boston Scientific Corporation. This role performs a variety of medium to complex duties in general accounting such as analyzing accounts, booking necessary journal entries, preparing reports, managing software interfaces and performing the monthly financial close and consolidation. This role measures performance against key performance indicators and metrics, and continually identifies ways to improve and streamline processes.
Your responsibilities include:
:May execute the following resposibilities:
:Performs month:end close process and acts as liaison with several supported sites
:Compiles and analyzes financial information through preparation of reports and general ledger journal entries.
:Assures financial accuracy by preparing business unit and consolidated income statements and balance sheets and other accounting statements and reports. Supports all legal entity closings
:Takes an active interest in seeking opportunities for continuous improvement, standardizing processes across multiple legal entities.
:Establishes and communicates accounting processes by maintaining a thorough understanding of GAAP and new accounting guidance as appropriate.
:Works to deliver upon key performance metrics and service levels agreed with business partners and management.
What we are looking for:
:Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
:0:2 years' relevant experience.
:SAP experience a plus.
:Strong communication skills.
:Detail oriented.
:Ability to work independently.
:Must have highly developed customer relationship skills with strong service orientation.
:Experience working in shared service environment preferred.
