Position Purpose:provides production and technical support for all computer systems used within department. Knows operational and system processes used within the department to best support strategic responses and corporate initiatives. Researches and resolves complex systems problems and questions, requiring independent judgment and technical understanding. Maintains knowledge of operational data flows. Extracts data to create reports, maintain system tables, and detect system problems. Serves as a liaison for alignments with other areas of the company. Designs, writes and executes tests bringing in new software, applying business rules to ensure feasibility. Provide mentoring, guidance and technical expertise to other analysts. May have, as assigned, direct reports.
Responsibilities:
Technical design and support:Analyzes the department's technical needs for business growth. Develops clear, concise system solutions that are efficient, effective and able to be maintained. Assists in designing systems that meet the business requirements. Maintains systems and databases as required. Provides critical input on system issues for leadership decisions to support business needs.
Testing:Develops comprehensive test plans, conducts quality and production environment testing and documents test results
Communication:Provides input on system implementations to meet operational needs Raises issues in a timely manner. Works closely with IS to correct system problems and answer questions. Serves as a liaison for alignments with other areas of the company.
Project support:Participates in the prioritization process with leadership, guided by business goals. Coordinates the timing of the implementation plan. Provides onsite/offsite support during actual implementation
System production support: Provides first level of technical support in resolving software problems. Participates in daily and weekly system monitoring; reports and/or resolves system issues as identified. Researches and resolves complex system issues and questions; identifies trends and recommends workflow improvements. Provides routine troubleshooting for end users. Elevates problems to Client Support, IS or vendor as appropriate
Mentoring, training and knowledge sharing: Provides mentoring, guidance, analytical support and technical expertise to other analysts in order to achieve goals. Administers training programs for end users of department's business applications. Consults and educates users regarding CS and IS business practices. Actively seeks opportunities to help and share knowledge with peers and operational areas
Reporting and data management:Customizes, runs, and distributes reports/extracts for the department on a regular basis. Researches and understands sources of data and existing data flows to other systems/databases. Makes decisions regarding data management lifecycles (create, change, maintain, archive, delete). Writes programs and queries to extract and compile systems-related information into reports. Performs detailed analysis on these reports and makes recommendations as appropriate.
Continuous improvement:Make recommendations, work or guide others on the improvement of existing procedures, systems and reports. Aims to decrease time and steps, by using tools (e.g., RPA or Visual Basic). Implement best practices, standardization, new concepts and ideas.
Leadership:May have, as assigned, direct reports: set goals, provide continuous feedback, train and coach direct reports. Conduct the periodical Performance Appraisals and Development Assessments.
Education level:Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Business Analytics, Industrial Engineering, Business Management, or relevant business experience.
Years of experience:3 years in Business system administration, data management, or reporting
English level:Intermediate-Advanced (B2+ Level)
