Requisition ID: OE/000529 MSD's Business Service Center (BSC), located across three regions (Americas, Europe, and Asia), are responsible for the timely and efficient delivery of standardized, global financial processes. The BSC : Americas in San Jose, Costa Rica will be responsible for the execution and delivery of a broad range of financial services and processes across MSD business divisions and markets for the Americas region.
Within the Global Business Services (GBS) Technology, Data, and Analytics organization, the incumbent is responsible for leading the design and implementation of global master data governance and stewardship strategies across the enterprise. Strategies are to be developed within the context of global business processes and associated master data necessary to simplify, streamline and standardize how MSD delivers quality financial and operational information to its stakeholders. The position will also be involved with overall ERP readiness and information strategy/design for GBS. The incumbent is expected to establish and maintain positive business relationships across the organization, be an effective problem solver, demonstrate strong leadership skills, and manage a global team of data stewards for their domain.
Primary Responsibilities
Interact with business leaders to assess and understand business requirements and needs as it relates to information and process flow
Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills along with demonstrated experience working with global and cross:functional teams.
Assist with building and monitoring organizational readiness, driving change management and communication, education and skill building, and finalizing all other preparation activities related to the ERP implementations.
Identify best practices using Six Sigma methodologies for information quality practices, standards and principles.
Manage change to master data governance and rules
Monitor, measure, and sustain data quality by resolving issues and evolving rules to meet the business and system needs
Lead or participate in projects to improve business processes and information flow by directly coordinating with the Global Process Tower Leads on integrated MDM/Process activities
Directly manage a global team of domain:specific data stewards
Provide local leadership to a team of cross:domain data stewards
Manage the relationship of the finance:specific outsourced operational stewards in all aspects of function including but not limited to the evaluation of work product to ensure compliance with data quality standards, providing leadership and mentoring to associates, ensuring master data changes are processed in a timely manner to meet the needs of the business, and ongoing communication of information and feedback on business partners objectives and performance.
Qualifications
A minimum of five (5) years relevant work experience
Bachelors Degree in a business concentration (Accounting, Finance, Order Management, or Procurement)
Strong knowledge of financial information, processes and systems
High motivation, strong organizational skills, ability to work independently in a dynamic environment
Ability to interact with all levels of the organization : senior leaders through working teams
Business:level English and Spanish language skills (speaking and writing)
