Overview We're growing our engineering team and are hiring multiple Back End (Python) Software Engineers.
We're looking for people who are excited to build, learn, and grow with us.
Titles and responsibilities will be matched to your skills and experience.
Our Engineers require close collaboration with our Client Success and Product teams and other members of our Engineering team to develop and implement superior software components and ensure the reliability and performance of the platform.
Ideal candidates will have Python experience, be organized, energetic, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Work Location Flexibility This position is based in our Heredia, Costa Rica office and follows a hybrid work model.
Employees are expected to work on-site a minimum of one day per week .
Please note that specific business units or role requirements may require additional in-office days based on team collaboration needs or operational priorities.
Responsibilities Development: Design and implement the server-side logic and functionality for the Blueflame AI platform, ensuring efficient data processing and management Database Management: Create, maintain, and optimize databases, ensuring data integrity and security API Development and Integration: Develop and maintain APIs to enable communication between the server and client-side applications, as well as with third-party services Security Implementation: Implement security measures to protect data and applications from unauthorized access and vulnerabilities, including encryption and authentication protocols Collaboration with Front End Engineers: Work closely with front end software engineers to ensure seamless integration of server-side logic with user interfaces Optimize Performance: Implement best practices for optimizing platform performance Troubleshoot: Identify and fix bugs in the code Documentation: Write and maintain documentation for code, processes, and best practices to facilitate knowledge sharing within the team Stay Updated with Trends: Keep abreast of the latest trends and technologies in back-end development, including new frameworks, libraries, and tools What You Bring + 4 years of experience with Python for back-end development Comfortable working with our building RESTful APIs Familiarity with MongoDB and/or Redis Interest in LLMs and emerging AI technologies Familiarity of distributed systems and multi-threading Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work well in a collaborative environment A growth mindset and willingness to learn and contribute, regardless of experience level Bachelor's degree in computer science or an equivalent engineering discipline #LI-Blueflame Our company is committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workforce where all individuals are respected and valued.
