**Job Summary**
This position plays an integral part in developing and implementing sourcing strategies and projects for the Mechanical, electromechanical, and electrical components Categories.
Will be responsible for executing spot buys, sourcing events, and projects related activities for the mechanical, electromechanical, and electrical components Categories.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Execute on one-time or low complexity sourcing requests as part of the Procurement Excellence Buy Desk
- Gather and analyze data using procurement spend analytics tools
- Work with the Market Intelligence team to research and identify potential suppliers for sourcing requests
- Perform basic cost and scenario analysis to analyze supplier bids
- Research potential vendors, develop and execute RFP for spend less than $1 MM per annum.
- Partner with stakeholders to ensure clear requirements documentation is translated to RFP and contracts as appropriate
- Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking to inform sourcing strategy
- Negotiate contract terms of agreement and pricing delivering with suppliers and record annual savings.

**Functional & technical skills**
- Experience with sourcing process, vendor management, contract negotiations and procure to pay operations.
- Expertise in sourcing tools (e-sourcing, spend analytics, ERP, supplier management software).
- Negotiation skills - will need to solicit bids and negotiate purchases directly with suppliers.
- Experience across Indirect Sourcing categories.

- Agility and flexibility to develop expertise across sourcing categories in areas complementary to the existing team.
- Desire to grow and develop as a sourcing specialist and develop category expertise Indirect portfolios (e.g., Services, IT and Facilities).

**Experience & Qualification**
- Proven working experience as purchasing agent or officer.
- 1+ years of purchasing experience/negotiations.
- Degree in business administration, engineering, supply chain management, or related field.
- English proficiency.
