- The Cloud Automation Engineer - Intermediate will help develop, manage and execute plans for deploying changes, improving reliability and performance, boarding user groups, and improving the services provided by the technology team that supports software development tools. _
**What you'll do**:
- Contribute as a DevOps team member focused on modernization and automation
- Be a champion for DevOps principles and culture change
- Design and implement monitoring and self-healing processes
- Identify and Implement Process Improvements and documentation
- Design and implement orchestration/workflows that integrate multiple services to provide self-service fully automated services.
- Utilize engineering and programming skills focused on enabling a DevOps model, configuration, and change management
- You will be providing support as part of an on-call rotation (1 week a month)
**What experience you need**:
- BS or Associate's Degree/Technical Certification or equivalent job experience required
- 3+ years of experience scripting in **Python and/or Linux Shell**
- 2+ years experience in **client facing**
- 1 to 3 years of experience in **AWS or GCP**
- 1 to 3 years of experience with **DevOps/CICD methodologies and technologies**
- English proficiency B2/C1
**What could set you apart**:
- Strong focus on documentation creation and solution design
- A sound understanding of SDLC Methodologies including Scrum and Agile Principles
- Experience using tools/technologies to develop infrastructure as code (IAC) such as Terraform, Chef, Ansible, Puppet
- Experience using or integrating CI/CD technologies such as Jenkins, GitHub, Sonar, Nexus
- Experience designing/developing Policy as Code
- Software development experience in 2 or languages
