Compensation Business Partner

This role will provide support to our core operational activities within the Americas theatre, in relation to fiscal planning preparation, quota setting, credit factoring and compensation query resolution, during our entire fiscal process. Responsible for supporting the Sales Organization, and respective field organizations to ensure quality and time-to-market optimization. As part of the role, the expectation is to constantly look for ways to support the Sales Operations and Sales Field teams within our business, with how their compensation structure works.
Due to the complexity of the process and critically of losing experience knowledgeable resources, the person taking this role, is expected to stay in the same role for no less than 24 months

Primary Responsibilities of the role:

Supporting Sales Ops. Organization to drive and deliver the AMER planning and quota set up execution, as well as ensuring a continues support to the field organization with compensation related topics.

This position will require a great attitude/team player, an ability to understand E2E compensation plans for the sales field and meet tight deadlines, strong communication skills and an ability to connect with business partners and stakeholders from around the world to find resolution to cases.
Required Skills/Experience

- 5+ years of experience in Sales Operations or Business Operations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail
- Excellent English speaker and writer, able to effectively communicate, train, create training materials, and correspond in English
- Strong/Excellent Analytical skills, Information management skill
- Advanced MS Excel skills
- Experience using planning & commissions/compensation applications
- Time management skill
- Excellent Customer Service
- Project management experience
- Experience working cross-culturally, internationally, across multiple time-zones
- Ability to interview and collaborate with VMware internal organizations, Finance, Data Management, Senior Management, etc. to gather input on cases/scenarios to resolve complex compensation issues
- Degree/Diploma in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or related field Desired Skills/Experience:

- Sales Force.com experience
- Support to bi-annual planning activities
- Coordination of Compensation Design and related Credit Factoring system set-up
- Support allocation/collation of Field Sales Targets and Quotas
- Support allocation/collation of Field Sales Territory Hierarchy, vertical/geographic assignments, and Named Account mappings
- Support monthly reconciliation/approval of Compensation calculations/payments
- Support Sales organizations with tools/systems projects with respect to planning and compensation activities
- Process improvement models knowledge / experience
