Our client, a dynamic hospitality development company building a world-class luxury resort, requires an outstanding professional for the foundational position of Controller.
The position reports directly to the company’s President and the role´s main responsibilities includes building the resort's entire financial framework from the ground up, managing all accounting and budgeting during the construction phase, and guiding the transition to full operational finance once the resort opens.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
•Establish and lead the financial and accounting structure for the resort project.
•Design and implement financial policies, controls, and procedures to ensure transparency and asset protection.
•Prepare accurate financial statements, including P&L, balance sheets, cash flow, and variance reports.
•Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning, providing strategic recommendations.
•Manage accounting operations: general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll.
•Work with project managers, contractors, and vendors to maintain budgets and control costs.
•Lead the shift from construction accounting to hospitality operations.
•Coordinate with auditors, tax advisors, and regulators for compliance.
