**Job Description**:
The main function of the Data Quality Engineer is to ensure the quality of our data products, which are delivered through multiple methods including Database tables, text files, batch and API processes.
The Data Quality Engineer additionally focuses on data product health, delivery efficiency and other important operations based KPIs.
They are also responsible for helping assess and troubleshoot the quality of a product, feature or product configuration, when deep analysis of the data being returned is required.
**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**:
- Work directly with the Director of Data Operations and multiple Kanban, Scrum and Production teams in ensuring data QA and QC
- Analyze massive amounts of data to determine healthy vs unhealthy trends, data and product integrity
- Automate data QA and QC routines and the creation of corresponding reports
- Support the migration of our products to the cloud in AWS to ensure we deliver equal or superior data quality without impacting our existing clients
- Work closely with the quality assurance department in the development and acceptance of the test plans for new or adjusted products/features and the resulting data.
- Generate and provide reports to data and product leadership on an ongoing basis about data quality and delivery performance.
- Provide the product team with the required data samples to facilitate UAT of our on-demand products
- Propose, test and validate improvement hypotheses by running data experiments, using our internal systems or database engines directly.
- Contribute to the vision of the data backlogs through analysis of product improvements and feature requests
- Document and keep track of user stories and bugs in our project management tool

**Qualifications**:
- Superb analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Medium/Advanced verbal and written communication skills (Spanish/English).
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or Equivalent Experience.
- SQL knowledge is a must
- Javascript
- Proficiency in Excel, MS Access
- Knowledge of Agile and Lean methodologies and best practices.
- Business intelligence knowledge
- Understanding of XML and JSON file types configuration
- Knowledge or Experience on any of the following technologies/tools is a plus:
- Matillion, Snowflake, Quicksight, Sigma
- Salesforce, CPQ
- Lucid chart
- Power BI, Tableau
- Target process, Jira, Trello
