As a Data Scientist you will sit in the Global Pricing team and report into the Group Leader, Pricing and Revenue Management.
You will be focus on driving and supporting pricing-specific initiatives at Western Union by using Data Science techniques to measure customer price sensitivity, predict customer behavior & conversion and optimize prices to achieve business financial and customer relationship objectives.
Flawless execution and attention to detail to drive data-based insights across multiple touchpoints are bare minimum pre-requisite for this position as you will use these skills to create presentations that describe model results and recommendations to the Senior Leadership Team and other stakeholders.
For such a pivotal role, it's best that you have a bachelor's degree, with master's qualification as a bonus.
4+ years of experience in the Data Analytics/Science domain and strong skills in data manipulative/visualization technologies (SQL, PowerBI) are required.
Hands on data analytics capability along with the ability to weigh in strategic considerations & operational/financial realities to make practical prioritization recommendations.
Strong intellectual curiosity and demonstrated experience developing models and data-driven recommendations that result in better business outcomes.Ability to communicate in cross cultural environment (which makes English proficiency a must have), creating relationships and influencing stakeholders, are the key soft skills to succeed.
Experience in data modeling and statistics (using R or Python) would be important as well.
