As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for the company database performance, integrity, and security. You also must guarantee that data is stored securely and optimally. As a Mid-level Data Base Administrator, you will be responsible for the database software maintenance, keeping it updated and tuned. The Job... Manage the organization’s database technology and associated schema to allow secure, efficient, and effective access to the organization’s structured data. Review and revise practices and processes to enhance the efficiency of access for users. Plan and implement regular system upgrades to enhance service continuity and user experience. Provide support to team members to minimize user/system downtime. Escalate unresolved system issues to appropriate vendors and manage these in accordance with agreed service level agreements to minimize user/system downtime. Work directly with other DBAs to triage and troubleshoot on escalated issues. Work directly with application owners and support personnel to maintain service level agreements. Participate in capacity planning for storage, servers, and network components as needed to ensure performance and service level agreements. Stay current with database technology advances to enable production support and incident resolution. Prioritize projects according to company needs. Provide administrative and maintenance to support Company Databases. Performing monitoring, backups, error checks, and managing replication Plan and install patches Follow and contribute to the processes of compliance with computer security standards. Excellent teamwork skills You... Bachelor's Degree or 3+ years of work experience/equivalent experience. Good English Skills (B2 or upper level) 3+ years’ experience as a Database Administrator. Proven knowledge in Oracle and/or PostgreSQL Proven experience in MSSQL is highly desired Good understanding of Cloud Computing Technologies Proven experience on Linux as administrator Proven experience on Scripting (SHELL, BASH, etc.) Proven experience in SQL over DDL, DML, and DCL. Strong communication skills to oversee personnel and foster collaboration with other organizational departments. Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. Good understanding of non-relational databases. On-call availability is a must.
