In this role, you have the opportunity to

Own and drive the demand planning process for a portfolio of parts in our Image Guided Therapy Devices business. You will need to understand these non-TLA parts’ demand profiles and segment by options, installation materials, accessories, etc.. This is a new area of focus and requires somebody with an entrepreneurial attitude. None of these products are currently planned, so you’ll need to identify all of the possible configurations, analyze historical data, gain input from your customers, and ultimately ensure every product in scope has a demand profile setup. This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to help create the way these should be managed and forecasted. As we are a growing business, this is an excellent opportunity to learn and eventually lead the planning efforts for an entire category.

You are responsible for
Developing demand forecasts (operational forecasts) at multiple levels of aggregation for multiple time horizons as part of a demand planning function.

Reviewing historical sales trends, researching demand drivers, preparing forecast data, developing statistical forecast models, and evaluating forecast results.

Coordinating cross-functional research activities to reconcile significant variances and refine the forecast model to reflect updated sales and marketing assumptions.

Interacting with sales, marketing, installation teams and customer finance to understand demand forecast drivers.

Utilizing a collaborative and consensus approach by working with Sales, Marketing and Finance to obtain and ensure that current and accurate information is used for demand forecasts.

Providing input to the Supply Planning organization in developing inventory strategies on existing items, new products, and product phase-outs.

Closely coordinating and communicating customer action plans with supply planning

Working as a Demand Planner on problems of diverse scope where analysis of planning data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.

Introducing planning methods/procedures that are new for the organization and applying advanced planning process principles to multiple tasks.

You are a part of

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

Bachelor’s or Master degree with 3 to 5 years of related experience, with a quantitative focus, or advanced degrees in Operations Management,Mathematics/Engineering,preferred

Experience in statistical modeling techniques and concepts of forecasting such as MAPE, WMAPE, and BIAS.

Advanced Excel skills; Strong numerical and analytical aptitude, high proficiency managing advanced models

Superior analytical skills, with demonstrated ability to dive deep, identify root causes and recommend scalable solutions with strong numerical and analytical aptitude, high proficiency managing advanced models

High degree of organization with ability to manage competing priorities simultaneously

Excellent business judgment, strong written, oral and presentation communication skills

Extreme attention to detail and willingness to roll up your sleeves

Demonstrated team player with positive attitude and adaptability to overcome challenges

Successful experience with 'Bottom Up' forecasting approach

Strong proficiency in analytical tools

Experience with process improvement techniques such as Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma
