**Company Information**:**About Thermo Fisher Scientific**:**Job Summary**This position plays an integral part in developing and implementing sourcing strategies for the Electrical Category. Will be responsible for managing and continuously improving the assigned categories of spend. Collaborates with a cross-functional team of sourcing, operations, technical, finance, and other key colleagues to prioritize sourcing initiatives, develops sourcing strategies, negotiates contracts, supports spend migration from incumbent to preferred suppliers, and manages preferred supplier relationships.**Key Responsibilities**- Executes global category initiatives to deliver key category performance indicators, including savings, supplier rationalization, low-cost region sourcing, risk management, spend under agreement, joint innovation, supplier performance, etc.- Supports the execution of global sourcing strategies focused on identifying and contracting with preferred suppliers that meet key business needs and category management goals- Monitors market intelligence and key trends, assess impact, and refines category plans to support business requirements- Engages and supports division/site procurement teams and other key colleagues to qualify preferred suppliers & migrate spend from incumbent, non-preferred suppliers- Analyzes category supplier performance data to find opportunities for supplier performance improvement and to establish continuous improvement goals- Supports supplier business reviews with suppliers to ensure both parties meet obligations under the terms of the agreement, including performance standards and continuous improvement goals- Manages the impact of cost and risk when developing contracts- Drives negotiations for global agreements aligned with category strategy**Competencies****Functional & technical skills**- Sourcing expert - strong experience with sourcing process, supplier management, contract negotiations and procure to pay operations.- Experience with ERP systems, spend analytics, eSourcing, and contract management systems required.- Excellent category-specific sourcing and category management skills in key portfolios of spend in Direct (e.g., Electrical, Electronic components)- Expert understanding of multi-step strategic sourcing processes and strategies- Experience negotiating agreements/contracts with suppliers.- Understanding of procurement processes, tools, and best practices**Leadership & Behavioral**- Agility and flexibility to develop expertise across sourcing categories in areas complementary to the existing team.- Desire to grow and develop as a sourcing specialist and develop category expertise across Direct portfolios (e.g., Electrical, Electronic Components)- Thrive in an entrepreneurial environment - a self-starter who looks for ways to improve existing processes.- Strong customer service orientation, keen to deliver on internal customer needs.- Independent worker with the ability to track and manage own deadlines.- Ability to gather, interpret, and analyze data to inform sourcing decisions.- Analytical thinker who makes decisions using data and insights - will need to prepare an analysis to develop sourcing strategy/scenarios/savings desire to mentor and coach junior team members.**Experience & Qualification**- 5+ years of procurement experience within Direct categories (e.g., Electrical, Electronic Components)- Experience in mid to large multinational companies, with strong category/business engagement experience- Hands-on manufacturing and/or supply chain experience is preferred.- Proven working experience as a buyer, senior buyer, purchasing specialist agent, or officer.- Experience in life sciences, medical device, or pharmaceutical industries is preferred.- Must have a degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or Supply chain management.- Master's degree (Desire)- High level of English language competency (verbal and written
