About the Role
The Supplier Quality Engineer is responsible for the management and execution of the Suppliers Quality Program in Costa Rica site and acts as the quality system input person. He/she is also responsible for ensuring that Quality of the raw materials that are being used in the elaboration of the products complies with Corporate and Site specifications as well as specific contract requirements.
Your Responsibilities Include
:Problem solving lead for supplier and material issues, ensuring effective solution implemention.
:Proficient understanding of core Supplier Quality skills/competencies (Statistics, Data Mining, Validation, Auditing, VIP, Quality Tools application).
:Works closely with Supplier Engineering and Commercial functions to improve supplier capability and efficiency.
:Assesses potential suppliers for technical, quality and manufacturing capabilities. Provides technical support for the introduction of components from a new supplier.
:Provide input to Design Engineering on new component technology and assist in component selection with quality and reliability analysis.
:Analyses incoming material defects. Dispositions and drives corrective action as necessary. Communicates issues to suppliers.
:Reviews new design specifications and provides input from component quality and manufacturability perspective.
:Investigates field failures related to supplier materials. Develop corrective action plan where necessary.
:Responsible for providing accurate, timely, quality metrics as required by Supplier Corporate QA management and the Costa Rica Requirements.
:Resolve internal and external audit findings and observations, non:conformance reports, and corrective actions as needed.
What Were Looking For
:Bachelors Degree in Industrial, Electronic, Biotechnology, Electromechanical Engineering or related field
:English Level required: B2 (70 : 79)
:At least 2 years of experience in similar positions

ASQ certification (CQE, CRE, SSGB, SSBB,CQM) strongly desired
