CPS (Commercial Products Supply) is a key part of the Advantaged Supply Chain of the Technical Function of The Coca-Cola Company. CPS manufactures concentrates and beverage bases for sale to bottling partners all over the world. This global organization manages a network of 19 manufacturing plants in 18 different countries. As the CPS Liberia Finance Manager, in Liberia you will be part to one of the most technologically advanced concentrate plant in the world.

The project involves hard and long working hours, exclusive dedication, speed, proactiveness, and accountability to meet and overpass expectations. The new concentrate plant in Liberia is considered within The Coca-Cola Company as the new state of the art manufacturing center, and you, from your position, will be leading a senior management function, responsible for the technical and productivity future of the organization an also, responsible for keeping the Plant up-to-date with technology.

The Finance Manager has direct responsibility for actively manages the CPS Finance Team to comply with all Financial/Administrative/Reporting tasks related to the CPS Plant operation. Works with the CPS Plant Leadership Team to identify and address any issues which could impact the operation. Leads strategic projects related to Internal Control Environment, Financial SAP/HANA implementations and Reporting/Analysis tool improvements. Function Related Activities/Key Responsibilities:

+ Management of Core Finance/Accounting activities for the plant.

+ Management of Internal Control activities for the plant

+ Management of Cost Accounting activities for the plant
+ Coordination/collaboration with External/Internal Audits

+ Collaboration with projects which require Finance input

+ Verification/Creation of Statutory Reporting and Tax activities

+ Training/Coaching of the plant Personnel
+ Reporting activities for the plant Leadership Team

Education Requirements:University/Advanced Degree

CPI / CPA / CPIM and/or MBA with major on related field are a plus .Related Work Experience:10 years of experience in supervisory positions in the Accounting/Finance/Tax fields, with experience in people management. Knowledge of accounting and internal control environments for publicly traded companies and for manufacturing companies. SAP knowledgeFunctional Skills:
+ Fluent communication (written/verbal/comprehension) in English and Spanish.

+ Availability to live in Guanacaste Liberia, non-negotiable.

+ Innovation:

This position is required to understand the minute details of the operation from most angles, particularly from Financial/Accounting/Internal Control perspectives, and from external and internal points of view, depending on the stakeholders it needs to tend to. With that premise, this position needs to be on a constant lookout for best practices implemented both in the market and within company, also needs to be aware of technological advances which allow for easier and better control and reporting and that could potential release resources to be dedicated to other critical tasks. It is also required to be the vanguard of integrated systems, integrated controls, paperless and digital culture, amongst other initiatives.

+ Analysis:Early detection and remediation of negative trends in key financial indicators of the operation.Early detection and remediation of Internal Control gaps.Early detection and remediation of Statutory risk on Taxes or Local Reporting.Timing/resource issues which could derive on non-compliance to reporting deadlines.Conflicts derived from the application of Internal Control Principles and the RCM to the operation.Communication issues with both financial and non-financial stakeholders.Communication issues with Statutory stakeholders.Early detection of personnel risk which could limit availability of key resources to perform financial tasks.Analysis of results (P&L) vs expectations (BP/RE), identification of major variances and root causes.

+ Communication Complexities:

Must be able to communicate with stakeholders at ALL levels of the company hierarchy in both financial and non-financial terms.
+ Must be able to explain financial results to the Leadership Team and suggest courses of action to correct any major deviation or any negative trend that is detected.

+ Must be able to instill a sense of urgency on all matters related to Internal Control and show how each stakeholder can collaborate for the success of the Control Environment.

+ Whenever an auditing body reports findings related to the operation, must be able to explain findings and suggest action plans without creating unnecessary stress or alarm, but still being able to ensure people involved are fully committed with the remediation efforts.

+ Must be able to manage-up through several levels, with sound suggestions and solid data analysis.
+ Must dominate technical language used by both internal and external auditing bodies, as well as other Government branches (CCSS, PROCOMER, BCCR, Customs Office, etc.)
