The role will act as our Costa Rica business's local finance and accounting representative.
The role is a key business partner to the North American organization and works closely with the Ormco North American Finance Director, Operational Leaders, and other company executives and functions.
Further, the position provides leadership to improve financial results in Revenue and Margin Expansion, Working Capital, and Operating Expense optimization and assists the group in positioning itself to become the leader in its markets through strategic investment and the best deployment of its capital.
Responsible for all operational finance and accounting aspects, including budgets/forecasts, capital appropriation activity, inventory, footprint, and other analyses.
Undertakes the development, maintenance, and improvement of internal controls to ensure accuracy and predictability of results, timely reporting, consolidation of results and forecasts, analysis of variations, and the determination of countermeasures.
Work independently and drives positive change, including evaluating and streamlining existing processes and controls to deliver accurate and timely results and ensure proper use of company resources and assets.
**Job Requirements**:
Represent the company before tax authority and other governmental agencies and public institutions in the ordinary course of business Day-to-day management of the Costa Rica site including overseeing the processing of payroll, partnering with Human Resources, and helping drive company initiative Delivers accurate monthly financial statements and forecasts according to local statutory and U.S. GAAP:

Develops, analyzes, and interprets statistical and accounting information in order to appraise operating results in terms of profitability, performance against budget, etc.
Coordinate and prepare the budget and financial forecasts, institute and maintain planning and control procedures, and analyze/report variances Analysis of financial results to identify variations and trends that indicate possible exposures and the need for countermeasures Financial data gathering, analysis, preparation of reports and recommendations around financial plans, statistical reports, cash flow projections, operating forecasts, acquisition activity, new business planning, etc.
Complete forecast and budget submissions, including upload into the company's financial system (HFM) Prepare monthly financial reports, variance analysis and corporate submissions Measure and track departmental spending vs budget and forecast Establishment and/or use of company databases to retrieve relevant information for use in analyzing current performance and determine future plans and forecasts Make recommendations regarding cost savings or profit-generating opportunities Analysis of financial results to identify variations and trends that indicate possible exposures and the need for countermeasures Miscellaneous financial projects, analysis, ad hoc reports, and administrative duties as necessary Assist in the continuous improvement, development, modification and implementation of financial systems as necessary including learning and using the Envista Business System (EBS) tools Create a strong Internal Control environment, own basics of compliance such as Sarbanes-Oxley and FCPA requirements, corporate and company Internal Audit activities and monthly balance sheet reviews but create proactive, uncompromising, localized internal control practices that safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy of actuals and forecasts Continuously strive for improvement and suggest ways for cost reduction
