In your role, you will:
: Perform account reconciliations for all entries and serve as primary contact
: Perform fixed asset reporting including acquisitions, disposals, and depreciation
: Analyze, reconcile, and prepare elements of balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other formal financial reports on a scheduled basis
: Assist with preparation of monthly financials
: Prepare work papers and accruals for month end.
: Prepare and post journal entries
: Perform account analysis, for example, bank reconciliation for major accounts, accrued liabilities, provisions, inventory, and advances
: Perform all capital asset related tracking, accounting, and financial reporting schedules
: Implementation of improvements/automation for accounting and/or financial models and processes
: Support financial analysis projects for assigned business unit(s)
: Support monthly financial reporting of actual metrics and perform forecast and identify risks and opportunities, and research, understand and describe monthly variances.
Qualifications
As our ideal candidate,
: You are bilingual written and spoken (Spanish and English); French is considered an asset.
: You hold a minimum of a Technical High School diploma in Accounting or Finance.
: You have a proven ability to maintain high standards and error:free work in a fast:paced, complex environment.
: You have the ability to work independently as well as collaborate successfully in a team setting.
: You have knowledge of U.S. General Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP), and/or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
: You hold knowledge of accounting procedures and concepts, for example, general ledger, balance sheets, and profit and loss statements
: You have Analytical and judgment skills necessary to evaluate alternatives and formulate recommendations in support of management decision:making
: You hold computer skills necessary to operate word processing, spreadsheet, database, finance/accounting ERPs, and web:based applications.
: You have strong understanding of Financial Shared Service Center's operations
: You have experience in transactional activities including but not limited to account payables, accounts receivable and general accounting.
