About the job
RHI Magnesita is seeking a dynamic Finish End Packaging in York, PA. Our team is currently seeking a skilled professional to support the final processing stages for our fast-paced refractory brick operation. Our successful team members are self-starters who can work independently without direct supervision. This position reads blueprints and schematics in support of layering and stacking brick prior to shipping to our customers.
Starting Rate
$22.07/HR + $1.50 shift differential / $1.60 weekend differential
Shift
12 hour shifts 6pm to 6am including every other weekend; you only work 14 of every 28-day cycle
The Finish End Packaging's tasks will include:
Keeping Safety as a top Priority.
Work safely in a heavy industrial facility when performing brick processing work.
Heavy physical labor is required in this department and safety is our first priority.
Maintain a consistent rate of production in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines.
Log information related to the quality of products into the Quality Management System.
Work with various types of equipment including robotic assisted workstations and hydraulics.
About you
Must be at least 18 years of age; attained a High School Diploma or GED; and strongly prefer training with electromechanical principles from an accredited institution or on the job training from another employer.
Experience working in a heavy industrial environment where the assigned duties were in a fast-paced work environment that will be inside and dirty working environments.
Use or training with sit down forklift and related safety training.
Strong mathematical and mechanical aptitude including the ability to read and understand blueprints or similar schematics.
Strong verbal and written communication skills as we work in teams in this department.
Experience using databases or performing electronic data entry.
