Candidate will be responsible for executing trade related activities associated with cross-border movements (import, in-country & export). The scope of work includes but not limited to the followings:
- Determine Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) classification for shipments of capital equipment, spares, chemicals, etc.
- Manage queries related to customs as well as Other Governing Agents (OGA) such as Country of Origin, valuation, product regulatory, etc
- Manage export compliance related tasks as listed but not limited to the followings: Execute sanctioned/denied/restricted party screening per established procedure; Assign Export Classification Control Number (ECCN) and Export License to shipments and Prepare reports for both internal & external use
Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Relevant experience can be obtained through school work, classes and project work, internships and/or work experience.
Minimum Qualifications:
- The successful candidate must be an active student of Customs Administration and International Trade.
- Intermediate to Advanced English.
- The candidate must be have +80% of career courses completed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- MS Excel knowledge.
- Previous working experience in HTS classification and Mandarin knowledge is a plus.
