HBS Instructional Designer L4 Job Description Are you passionate about the customer service experience? Do you thrive in a fast passed environment? Do you like creating high impact training interventions? If so, join the Heavy Bulky Services (HBS) Knowledge Management team! We are looking for an innovative, data driven learning professional to creating engaging training interventions for a variety of HBS audiences.
You will be responsible for the end-to-end creation of learning and training solutions. In this role, you will create training with learning activities both in a structured/formal learning settings to ensure associates are applying the skills and knowledge necessary to successfully help our customers. You will develop associates through a range of instructional design strategies (simulations, exploration and discovery, and scenario based learning). You will evaluate training and share the training impact of the interventions you create.
Responsibilities:
· Partner with program managers, Subject Matter Expert (SMEs) and other key stakeholder to identify training needs.
· Conduct analysis with different audiences to determine, recommend and design learning interventions.
· Use ID models like ADDIE and SAM to design, develop and launch engaging course content.
· Design and develop testing and assessments for different audiences.
· Convert instructor led training to self-directed training.
· Collaborate with Trainer, Content and SMEs to ensure training is up to date and in line with business needs.
· Collaborates with the Team Managers to ensure quality and performance metrics are met during and post training.
· Review data and training feedback to make the appropriate course adjustments based on data.
· Apply a variety of learning activities for only, virtual modalities and face-to-face training to ensure the application of skills on the job.
· Utilize project management skills to define and meet project milestones, communicate issues and risks in a timely manner.
· Must be highly self-motivated, customer-centric and have a passion to see others grow and succeed.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
· Relevant experience in an instructional design role.
· Demonstrated experience designing and develop training materials in all modalities.
· Demonstrated use of multiple learning methods and linking appropriate methods with learner outcomes.
· Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
· Ability to assess and translate training effectiveness to stakeholders and leaders.
· Experience collaborating with stakeholders, SMEs, front-line managers and employees.
· Experience using eLearning authoring tools like Articulate Storyline.
· Experience with learning management and knowledge base systems.
· Proficient with Microsoft Office.
· Industry certifications in instructional design, curriculum development, performance improvement, project management, and content-specific certifications as appropriate.
· Work sample demonstrating our experience and skill using course authoring tools and ID theory will be part of the hiring process.
