About the Role:
This opportunity will make you a part of Boston Scientific internship program that offers on:the:job training or project performed by university senior students at a company. The role will include activities, Support production of existing chemical processes. Identify and implement process improvements. Identify and validate second source for chemical raw materials, and support development of new products.
The internship period will be for a period of up to 12 months and the student will receive a subsidy during their period on the company.
Your Responsibilities Include:
:Identify and implement improvements to existing chemical manufacturing processes by incorporating lean principles, improving safety and yields through new equipment, equipment upgrades, training, workflow redesign and communication. Responsibilities will include specification and/or design of equipment, oversight of fabrication by outside vendors, safety and associated capital appropriation requests.
:Work closely with Manufacturing to support day to day operations by providing assistance with troubleshooting, training and documentation.
:Support development and validation of new or modified chemical processes. May include specification and/or design of equipment, oversight of fabrication by outside vendors, raw material specification, and associated capital appropriation requests.
:Prepare technical reports, analysis, recommendations and presentations reflecting the status and results of projects in progress on a regular basis.
:Set up new equipment, ensure satisfactory operation, safety requirements are met and instruct others to use the equipment properly.
:Write procedures for the operation of new or existing equipment. May also include assisting Operations in the training of operators to new procedures.
:Supervise other engineers on the team. Provide direction and leadership to enhance the project deliveries of the team.
What Were Looking For:
:At least 80 of studies completed in Bachelor Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering or related Field.
:English Level required: B2: 80.
:Desirable knowledge in: Use of SEM, micro hardness tester and metallographic microscope, ability to read an interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
:Avaible for a temporary position (12 months).
