VMware is looking for a dynamic, motivated contributor with excellent interpersonal skills to be part of the Information Security Assurance team. As the IT SOX senior auditor, you will learn and assess the company’s IT security and controls environment for financial statement reporting and interact with key stakeholders from the business and IT to help the company achieve compliance with IT SOX requirements. As part of this role, you will be responsible for performing testing across IT general controls, key reports, and automated controls and reporting the results to management. As the IT Audit Senior, you will be responsible for design and execution of audits relating to SOX.
Responsibilities:
+ Lead efforts related to design and execution of IT SOX audit
+ Areas of focus include: IT General Controls, Automated Controls, Segregation of Duties, and Key Reports
+ Design and execute risk based audit programs, operational process reviews and review of system implementations across Vmware
+ Developing value-added recommendations to improve internal IT controls and operating efficiency
+ Determine technical and business impact of identified security and control issues and provide remediation guidance.
+ Perform and lead internal resources and third-party auditors to conduct compliance and IT SOX audits.
Experience & Education Expected:
+ Bachelors degree in Accounting, Computer Science, Information Systems or other relevant field required.
+ 4+ years of relevant experience in IT Audit, IT Security, Information Risk Management, IT Governance or other IT Compliance related work.
+ Experience from a national public accounting or consulting firm a plus.
+ Strong understanding of commonly used OS, DB, network structures
+ Familiarity with tools and technologies including one or more of the following: SAP, Oracle, Netsuite, Workday, SQL programming
+ Strong communication skills with the ability to interface with both technical experts and senior level management.
+ CCSP, CISSP, CISA, CPA, CIA, CISM or similar certification desired
+ Familiar with SOX, COSO, ISO, GDPR, PCI DSS
+ Proven project management skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
