"This role is in the LATAM Finance Controls Centralization Unit team, part of Latam Controllers. The team serves as trusted control advisors who promote and assist in embedding strong internal controls over financial and regulatory reporting in Finance. The team delivers timely, accurate & insightful control analytics to ensure proper attention to remediation efforts, and to strengthen the control environment. The team coordinates and provides assistance on Internal Audit reviews; leads discussions with IA on potential findings; and manages the issues and the escalation process within Finance. The team is also responsible for monitoring compliance with all control policies applicable to Finance, and liaises with other second line control functions (e.g. Compliance, In Business Risk and Control, etc.). The team also liaises with regional and global Control Initiatives teams in Finance. Responsibilities: Lead LATAM Finance Controls Centralization Unit team, supporting Finance’s Management in all aspects of strengthening the control environment and managing control related issues. Serve as serves as trusted control advisors to Finance stakeholders. The employee is expected to effectively interact with senior Finance stakeholders, First/Second Line functions and auditors. The employee is expected to make independent decisions without input from their direct manager. The employee has the authority to lead discussions with IA on potential findings, and managing issues and the escalation process. Lead Issue Management process for Latam FInance, including review of Issues sent to IA and Compliance for validation. Monitors Latam Finance Issues/Caps to ensure issues are closed timely and sustainably. Leads quarterly Managers Control Assessment (MCA) for Latam Finance. Proactively monitors and manages Scorecard control metrics to ensure completion of control metric targets. Monitors Latam Finance Issues/Caps to ensure issues are closed timely and sustainably. Leads quarterly Managers Control Assessment (MCA) for Latam Finance, including monitoring and analysis of quarterly MCA results and Key Risk Indicators. Proactively identifies emerging risks and assists the country Finance teams with resolving control gaps and issues, including identifying root causes and creating corrective action plans as needed. Partner with other control functions, including In Business Risk & Control leads in Latam. Interact with regional and global partners in the Control Initiatives group, Finance team, Citi Internal Audit team and Finance functional directors on issue management, corrective action and escalation and MCA/SOX. Manage team and drive professional development of team, including setting goals and completion of Individual Development Plans. Drive VOE initiatives for team. Drive strategy for effective design, implementation, execution and monitoring of controls. Reviews end-to-end process documents, design of related key controls and control effectiveness across Latam Finance. Partner with Digital Finance team to assess opportunities to improve controls with RPA and digital tools. Supports control related regulatory initiatives for Latam Finance. Apply new policy requirements across all Latam EUCs and models governance. Create control related presentations for monthly Regional forums (e.g. Control Forum, Finance/Regional BRCC, etc.) and other presentations for senior management.
