About the role:
:Manage the Industrial Engineering Department and all activities related to Industrial Engineering, Lean Manufacturing, Business Process Improvement, and Value Improvement Process.
Your Responsibilities include:
:Identify and lead value improvement, waste elimination and problem solution initiatives that drive plant and company performance improvements while championing the development and advancement of the Lean culture as well as the achievement of Value Improvement Goals within the organization
:Lead facility layout and design projects with the Process Development Engineering, Production, Facilities and Manufacturing Engineering teams (as directed by site).
:Initiate, lead and sponsor VIP, Lean and BPI projects with Production, Process Development, Manufacturing Engineering and support functions.
:Drive the ongoing introduction and advancement of Lean culture, philosophies, principles and practices across the plant and work with local management to create and maintain the Lean vision for the plant.
:Constantly promote, educate and instill the culture of waste identification and elimination throughout the plant in manufacturing and support areas as well as the culture of a structured, disciplined, driven:by:data:and:statistical:analysis way to solve problems and improve all kind of processes.
:Coordinate and lead general engineering tasks, which may include: creating and updating standards, maintaining BOMS and routers and creating and approving change requests (as directed by site).
:Develop and conduct Lean training programs for employees at all levels and departments.
:Lead the creation, maintenance and refinement of a Lean toolkit that can include: 5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, mistake proofing and line balancing.

:Oversee the deployment and support the use of corporate Lean tools and Metrics (Core Five Metrics, WCG, VSP, 5S, Lean Goals and Plans, etc.).
:Promote and lead cross:functional and inter:site teamwork to accomplish shared objectives.
:Maintain a general knowledge of current Industrial Engineering trends and methodologies
:Supervise, mentor and provide work direction to other members of the Industrial Engineering Department.
What we are looking for:
-Licenciate degree in Industrial Engineering.
-Desirable Master degree in related areas.
-Minimum of 10 years' experience within medical device environment or similar.
-English level: Above 90
Preferred Qualifications:
-Knowledge of Six Sigma, Lean, APQP or similar tools
-ASQ Certified
-Strong problem solving skills
-Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects
-Knowledge of materials (and associated properties) for medical devices
