About the role: : The successful candidate will be responsible for the Engineering and Technical staff of the Industrial Engineering group.
Your Responsibilities include:
Execution:
:Implement the specifics of the manufacturing strategic plan in the above areas.
:Improve process engineering fundamentals focused on process flow, scrap reduction and process control (replace art with science).
:Responsible for the identification and elimination of waste through Lean Tools and foster an Operational Excellence culture in all manufacturing areas.
:Responsible for maintaining and improving the Value Stream policies, operational excellence tools and practices.
:Support of the continous improvement program, visual factory, time standards, and facility modifications.
:Responsible for the plants efficiency and utilization KPI, which includes the dentification and elimination of production related bottlenecks and flow enhancement through lean, simulation and statistical tools; production methods analysis and improvement; production capacity analysis and line balancing.
:A key responsibility will be supporting the development of an operational excellence policy and to develop a training system to ensure that Operational Excellence is embedded into the culture.
:Plan, monitor and control department's budget and forecasts.
:Maintain a general knowledge of trending Industrial Engineering knowledge.
:Drive a staff that is seen as the keepers and providers of the methods and tools for manufacturing excellence and efficiency improvement.
:Develop a core group of internal experts in the Operaional Excellence principles and systems.
:Be a proficient communicator, orally, written and active listener, both in spanish and english (90+ required).
:Proficient in Statistics, Simulation, Lean Manufacturing, Shingo Model, Project Management and Linear Programming.
:Demonstrate working knowledge on Quality Systems (medical industry) and proven project management skills.
:Proven track record in hiring and developing professionals in a team based environment. Possess superior leadership skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and ability to drive excellence in staff is a key requirement.
:Bachelor of science in industrial engineering or similar field + 10 years of experience
:Master of science and certifications in six sigma or lean manufacturing is a plus.
What we are looking for:
-Licenciate degree in Industrial Engineering.
-Desirable Master degree in related areas.
-Minimum of 10 years' experience within medical device environment or similar.
-English level: Above 90
Preferred Qualifications:
-Knowledge of Six Sigma, Lean, APQP or similar tools
-ASQ Certified

-Knowledge of materials (and associated properties) for medical devices
