About the Role
The Materials Data Analyst's primary responsibility is to manage component material information of the parts that are in our products. As part of a group functionally organized under Research and Development, you will help manage the material data that is maintained in a global system used for all product components.
The scope of support includes both existing and new products from multiple divisions. The work is task:based and will provide support to multiple projects at the same time, and will require interaction with cross:functional team members from R and D, Packaging, Labeling, Supplier Engineering, and Operations.
You're Responsibilities Include:
:Review and interpret information provided by suppliers for engineering accuracy and adherence to global material standard designations
:Utilize corporate software tools to query the global material database to search for information
:Collect data from internal sources and enter in to the database
:Verify information in the database is accurate
:Interact regularly with component suppliers or telephone
:Work with little to no supervisory work direction to obtain or create complete and accurate material composition information on assigned components
:Consistently create and maintain highly accurate product data at all times. The material information created is used globally, so high quality work is of utmost importance.
:Communicate effectively verbally and in writing with internal team members about the status of assigned component assessments
What We're Looking For
Basic Qualifications:
:Technical or Vocational College certificate required with 1:2 years previous work experience
:Strong proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel and Office software tools
:Excellent proficiency in verbal and written English
:One year in the current position.
Preferred Qualifications:
:Experience with databases and data management
:4:year Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline with 0:1 years previous work experience
:Educational or work experience with material standards or chemical composition
:Knowledge of medical device industry or products
:Previous experience in a regulated industry
