Requisition ID: SHA001740 MSD's Business Service Center (BSC), located across three regions (Americas, Europe, and Asia), are responsible for the timely and efficient delivery of standardized, global financial processes. The BSC : Americas in San Jose, Costa Rica will be responsible for the execution and delivery of a broad range of financial services and processes across MSD business divisions and markets for the Americas region.
The Credit Analyst will be responsible for credit analysis, review and analysis of financial statements, financial indicators and ratios, conclusion of analysis and capacity of recommendation according to risk, measure risk of customers for the granting of credit limits, recurrent revisions to avoid blocked orders on a daily basis.
In charge of credit portfolios for the maintenance of credit limits, contact with local markets for the requesting of financial statements and information as a requisite for periodical reviews.
Main responsibilities include:
Work towards orders queue on hold, quick resolution, approvers follow up.
Root cause fix for consistent customers under block orders. Troubleshot issues with internal partners and process owners.
Support the credit analysts as well as collection teams, partner with them in order to minimize release timing and eliminate unnecessary block orders.
Identify continuous improvement opportunities, and support the execution of OtC processes for Americas markets, ensuring compliance with all policies, Internal, External Control requirements. SOX based.
Constant communication and build strong working relationships with internal and external customers/clients.
Perform month end controls and/or reports for individual and team activities as needed.
Performs other duties and projects as assigned.
Support Service Center activities, be a team player and a strong liaison with third parties
Qualifications
Main requirements:
Bachelors Degree in Business, Accounting or Finance (Or career in progress)
Minimum of 1 years of experience in order to cash processes (credit risk management).
OTC:Credit Analysis experience
Intermediate to Advanced PC skills (MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Experience with Financial Analysis, Balance sheet and results.
Problem solving and analytical skills with a proactive management style to implement new processes
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a finance or accounting department of a multinational company
Business Level fluency (oral and written) in Spanish and English languages
Experience in Share service centers, startups or migrations.
Team player with a focus on collaboration
Strong communication, interpersonal, and organization skills required
