Procurement Specialist

In this role, you will be responsible for the procurement of regional and global products and services related to IT hardware and software products, including but not limited to processing purchase requisitions, obtaining vendor price quotes for goods and services, negotiating pricing, facilitating the receipt and track of purchased items and liaison with vendor and end user to ensure purchased items are correct.
**A snapshot of this opportunity**
- Negotiate pricing terms, strategies, and contract terms with preferred suppliers (global, regional, country, 3rd party aggregators, wholesalers, etc.
):

- Communicate with internal customers and external vendors of forthcoming contract renewals
- Provide financial reporting on spend for IT departments and Procurement Project Tracker
- Create/update procedural forms when needed
- Provide training, education, and leadership to team members
- Maintain active and new vendor listings, contracts, and quotes in a central repository
- Process checks requests and wire transfers for payments of goods and services
- Maintain purchasing requisitions updated in PeopleSoft Financials and PeopleSoft support desk
- Ensure purchased items are delivered properly and in a timely manner
- Perform asset management duties relating to the proper disposal of equipment with vendors
- Proper Mamagement usage and depletion of assests (Soft dollars, bed banks, equipment, etc.)
- Primary point of contact and scheduler of proper disposal of old equipment recycling
- Facilitate returns
- Perform asset management duties relating to the proper disposal of equipmemts with vendors

**How you can set yourself apart**
- Supply Chain Management experience
- Prior experience working on technology, telecommunications, and other types of sourcing engagements
- Fluent in business English
- Strong business knowledge
- Effective communication skills (oral, written & presentation)
- Ability to travel domestically & internationally
- College / University degree preferred
- Demonstrable experience using Excel and Microsoft Teams
