About the role
Project Manager (PM) will be responsible for the top:level leadership of Global Technology and Services projects and related work stream activities for medical device products within Boston Scientific's portfolio of products. The scope of projects includes all product support activities from first launch to the end of product life for multiple products across business units and manufacturing sites.
Project size will range from small one:off tasks to large process improvement, design change, line extension activities and projects driving global productivity. Other projects may include design transfers between sites or corporate initiatives. Multiple projects of various sizes will be handled simultaneously by the PM with cross:functional team members from R and D, Design Assurance, Packaging, Regulatory, Global Supply Chain, and Operations functions.
Your responsibilities include:
:Identify resources required for assigned project activities and form teams to complete the activities
:Lead, coach, and help diverse and dispersed project team members help each other to execute toward a common goal
:Drive results by acting with speed, agility, and adaptability, assigning clear authority and accountability while integrating and aligning efforts across units and functions
:Monitor progress against objectives, while ensuring policies and practices are followed and accurate documentation is kept
:Delegate and manage tasks among team members as appropriate to their skill level and risk to the project
:Generate high:level plans, communications, and schedules on larger projects
:Identify, communicate, and manage technical and business risks
:Resolve conflicts with team members and involve functional management as required to ensure timely project completion
:Timely communication with all relevant functions and levels of the organization, including presentations to upper management
Basic Qualifications:
:4+ years of relevant project management experience in R and D or Operations either leading projects or as a team member leading significant segments of projects
:4:year Bachelor's degree required, preferably in engineering
:Strong organization and execution skills required, as well as a demonstrated ability to confidently handle full responsibility for project completion
Preferred Qualifications:
:Experience in both pre:launch and post launch product support activities preferred, with the most emphasis placed on post launch work. Broad product knowledge across multiple franchises is preferred over individual product expertise
:Knowledge of regulatory standards and a deep understanding of internal SOPs is a plus
:PMP certification a plus.
