Emerson is seeking a motivated and experienced accounting professional to join our team as a RtR Specialist I in San José Province, Escazu, Costa Rica. **In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be**:
- Complete and process a large volume of journal entries.
- Perform account reconciliations.
- Follow Standard Accounting Policies & Procedures according to USGAAP.
- Respond accurately to Shared Services Customers.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and work towards resolving open items.
- Collaborate in the accounting closing process and carry out specific tasks on a timely manner.
- Prepare and post Manual Journal Entries as requested.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly accruals.
- Ensure targets and expected deliverables are met according to the SLA guidelines.
- Carry out a knowledge transfer process.
- Identify potential areas for process improvements and highlight them to Supervisors and Continuous Improvement Team.
- Support internal and external audit processes.
- Participate in the reporting process of financial statements on a monthly basis.
- Develop analysis and information as requested by the Business Units.

**For This Role, You Will Need**:
- Associates or BSBA degree in Accounting, Finance, and/or Business Administration.
- Good verbal and written communication skills, with English & Portuguese preferred.
- More than two years of experience in general accounting or Big 4 environment.
- Experience in Shared Services environments is preferred.
- Knowledge of (financial) administrative (accounting) processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Experience with Oracle/SAP or other ERP systems is preferred.
- Experience with Hyperion or other reporting systems is preferred.
