**_Business Summary:_**

Member of Deal Management Team to support standard as well as highly negotiated, unique or strategic Professional Service contracts from inception of a sales opportunity to booking. The team is skilled and knowledgeable in a variety of areas including contract structure, negotiations, Legal and Revenue recognition principles.

The successful candidate will partner with multiple internal groups including Americas PS Sales Legal and Commercial Solutions to establish best practice aligned with our Corporate DMT initiatives. Our key outcome is the execution of mutually agreeable contracts, successfully growing and sustaining Professional Services business in AMER.
**_Job Role and Responsibility:_**

+ Be a trusted partner and advisor to the AMER Sales, Finance & Business Ops leaders in relation to Sales opportunities, Billings and policy to ensure the most efficient & compliant flow.

+ Serve as primary point of contact for non-standard sales terms and conditions; working closely with Revenue and Legal and other field functions including AMER Business Operations.

+ Responsible for identifying contractual risks and suggesting alternatives that lead to the best solution for both VMware and its customers.

+ Work with Legal and Finance to facilitate approvals, and signature approval process for custom Statement of Works.

+ Interface with appropriate VMware people to understand the business, finance and/or technical issues that may arise in the contract process.

+ Exercise good judgement on case by case basis for exception approval and modifications

+ Liaise with Legal to create standardized language templates to extend team’s scope of document control.

+ Ensure compliance with published PS business approval policies. Partner with internal organizations to understand contract requirements. Collaborate with impacted parties to generate acceptable documents to facilitate deal closures.

+ Work with the team and PS management personnel to identify process improvement and/or training opportunities.

+ Strive to meet or beat published service level agreements.

+ Navigate contracts database for information regarding customer/partner documents.

+ Develop reports for the field and senior management to manage the engagement process and approvals.

+ Special projects as required.

+ Miscellaneous reporting and process documentation.

+ Ability to make decisions based on expertise and judgement.

**_Required Skills :_**

+ Minimum 5+ years related experience in the software industry, consulting, operations, contract

+ Experience creating, managing and maintaining shared contracts management databases, including document imaging, reporting and formatting and developing processes and policies is desired

+ Must be able to work on multiple, varied projects

+ Exceptional attention to detail required

+ Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and experience integrating the requirements of various departments

+ Must be a self-starter, detail oriented, w/strong organization skills

+ Must be able to work well under pressure of heavy workload and time pressure

+ Proficient in Adobe, MS Office Skills (Excel and Word)

+ English Proficient, verbal and written
**Preferred Skills:**

+ Spanish and Portuguese language preferable

+ Bachelor’s Degree in Business Studies, Commerce, Finance, Law or related discipline

+ Experience using Salesforce, Changepoint, or Apptus
