We are seeking a **Senior DevOps Engineer **to join our team.
**Job Summary**
Imprivata Customer Connect and Enterprise Access offers a highly available and performant connectivity framework that uses SSH (secure shell) to create a connectivity platform for remote support.
The appliance also offers advanced auditing capabilities and centralized management for remote access.
Our product is mission-critical to our customers and our success depends on our ability to evolve our product to satisfy new customers while improving stability and maintaining security and quality.
The DevOps team is responsible for delivery of the entire suite of software required by the CC and EA products, and maintains the underlying platform that supports the products.
The team maintains the product's CI/CD pipeline, software repositories, and product related tooling and reporting.
In addition, the DevOps team is responsible for maintaining the Cloud deployment option for both products.
**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Serve as a senior technical member of a team providing DevOps functions and support to development, QA, and support organizations
- Own responsibility for coordinating and delivering complex technical projects, including handling stakeholder communication and scheduling
- Identify and implement potential product fixes and improvements
- Provide tools and build solutions that reduce bottlenecks and allow other teams to move faster
- Work with engineers and stakeholders across the company to build new features and constantly improve our customer experience and operation
- Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes
- Responsible for extending, expanding, and integrating the latest changes and developments in the platforms our customers use
**Required Qualifications**
- 5+ years of experience in building or supporting complex software systems.
- Experience building tools for the use of internal teams for deployment, testing, reliability, security, and observability
- Familiarity with TCP/IP network management and troubleshooting, and with common networking concepts (like firewalls, routers, proxies, etc)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong coding skills in a scripting language like Bash or Python
- Experience with a modern, statically typed language like Go or Java
- Strong background in Linux system administration
- Experience with code management systems, such as git, GitHub, GitLab, mercurial, subvesion
- Experience with virtualization technologies and orchestration tools (Docker, LXC, AWS, Azure, GCP, ansible, kubernetes, etc)
- Experience with SQL based relational database systems, especially with command line based management interfaces
- Ability to communicate complex technical scenarios to audiences with a wide range of technical skill levels and backgrounds
