Job Description:
The person hired for the position of Senior Web Developer will be responsible for assisting with the development needs in support of 3M’s Digital Marketing initiatives. While the primary focus for this position will be Web development for Digital Marketing, there is potential the position will be involved in other activities within the application portfolio including support, deployment, and value realization.
Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Gather and document technical requirements
- Develop web pages using HTML, JavaScript, CSS, XSLT, XML
- Participate in Scrum team activities/ceremonies.
- Understand cross functional processes and work closely with other process on solution integrity
- Document technical designs
- Aide in defect resolution thru troubleshooting
- Work closely with 3M Digital Customer Services and Corporate Marketing teams to leverage delivered capabilities and to resolve gaps
- Create and execute automated functional and regression tests.
- Create and Maintain automated build scripts.
- Code review.
- Other duties as requested by supervisor.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited university
- Minimum 5 years of experience with Web development
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience participating in cross-functional and remote teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with one or more of the following: IBM WCM, Moustache JS Framework, jQuery, XSLT 2.0, XPath 2.0, and XQuery 1.0
- Experience with PHP in WordPress
- Experience with RESTful web services and JSON
- Experience with agile process tools. (i.e. Jira, BitBucket, Confluence)
- Experience with one or more of the following testing tools: Selenium, Mocha, Chai
- Experience with Agile methodology and understanding of Scrum.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, proven track record of strong project coordination/management success
- Self-motivated with a demonstrated ability to learn quickly and deliver results in a high pressure, high profile environment
Location: GSC- Costa Rica
Travel: May include up to 10% international
