Description
Emerson Automation Solutions is seeking a Software Engineer to join their Advanced Components Group. This group specializes in the development of components that comprise the Syncade Manufacturing Execution System and facilitate systems integration.
This team participates in each stage of the product lifecycle, which includes conception, design, planning, development, testing, release and product support. Components include, but are not limited to, behaviors, web parts, tools, interfaces, and event scripts.
This position involves testing of standard and customized components.
The Software Test Engineer should be self-motivated and able to learn autonomously. He or she must be capable of working independently or within a group, and possess good written and verbal communication skills. Software Test Engineer will work with internal personnel and customers, which may include travel to various sites.
Responsibilities
Understanding and Analyzing Test Requirements
Test Plan Preparation and Execution
Reporting and Tracking Defects
Conducting testing as per the set standards and procedures
Create / Review supporting documentation
Interaction with front office/customer
Implement automated testing procedures
Requirements
Good understanding of Software Testing Methodologies
Bachelor degree in Computer Science or relevant filed or technical equivalent
Excellent written and verbal communicationin English
At least 2 years of experience in software testing
Strong problem-solving skills
Good to have:
CD/CI experience is preferred
Automated testing experience is preferred
Experience with Pharmaceutical / Biologics is preferred
Knowledge of Manufacturing Execution Systems is preferred
Adaptable to changing requirements
Ability to interface effectively with internal and external teams
