About the position We are part of the Cloud Technology group, developing cutting edge SaaS solutions for services inside Company. We are building an operations platform (aka Ethos) and working with other teams to create a unified Cloud Platform that's unlike anything else in the market.
As a member of the Frictionless and Support Tooling (FaST) team within Ethos, you will help us re-imagine the Ethos user experience. Your primary responsibility will be to design and build tools that help Ethos provide a frictionless and intuitive support experience to all its users.
You'll work in a collaborative environment where the code is open, sharing is encouraged, and innovation happens 24/7. You'll be part of a hybrid team of software engineers and operations specialists who are passionate about platform development and have been in the industry for more than twenty years.
What you'll do
* Write performant and maintainable code for backend services in a variety of languages targeting multiple platforms and technologies.
* Build highly scalable and robust web services for use by Ethos services to provide an intuitive support experience to their users.
* Work on cutting edge technologies in Web Service development, Machine Learning, and ETL pipeline processing
* Create bots that take action in response to events
* Participate in all aspects of software development activities including design, coding, code review, unit-testing and bug fixing.
* Work in cross functional teams to ensure end-to-end delivery of features
* Fast prototype ideas and concepts and research latest industry trends.
What you need to succeed
* Strong desire to alleviate user pain points
* Interest in developing services using the latest cutting edge technologies
* Knowledge of how to apply computer science principles like algorithms, data structures, distributed systems, and data flow and storage
* Familiarity with best practices and proven design principles in software programming
* Exposure to and interest in technologies for ETL pipelines and Machine Learning
* Ability to ramp up quickly on new technologies and deliver things quickly
* Most importantly, self-motivation and "can do" attitude
