JOB TITLE: Specialist, GTS-Regional Technical Support Engineering
DUTIES: Provide post sales support for all customer trouble tickets. Responsible for all technical support activity for customer in the US. Provide support to the 6500 product line and any products supported at customer which includes waveserver and 1Control products. Responsible for providing weekly updates to the customer on all Ciena issues.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications or equivalent. 3 years of experience in telecommunications, including 2 years of experience in each of the following: telecom optical transport products; transmission equipment; test equipment; and troubleshooting fiber, optical lasers and transmission equipment.
OTHER: Job Site: 3939 North 1st Street, San Jose, CA 95134. May work from home office within normal commuting distance to San Jose office. 40 hours/week; Must have permanent work authorization in U.S.
