As part of the Core Technology organization, we are responsible for building a phenomenal tech-led reimagination of our platform and capabilities. We enable our internal and external developers to build scalable solutions that end-customers love. We are a data-driven agile team where the team members influence the product roadmap with their creative ideas. We work daily with product managers, architects, and engineers across the platform and product organizations. We are looking for someone who takes ownership and enjoys collaborating with other product managers, developers, and legal counsels to build and innovate on backend services, applications to power eBay’s commerce experiences, as well as 3rd-party integrations using eBay public APIs. This is a highly visible role, and you will work closely with various teams across eBay involved in the public API initiatives to enable success. You will have a tremendous opportunity to solve complex problems at a massive scale, influence Business and Product development teams, and create new innovative revenue streams for eBay. You will apply your ecommerce knowledge and experience and excellent communication skills to make a meaningful impact on people across the globe. Primary Job Responsibilities Define product requirements, both near-term and long-term, and manage the overall schedule of a project to deliver features on time with high quality Conduct discovery to understand the current state and define a product North Star Continuously work with partners on getting feedback Prioritize product requirements based on opportunity analysis Manage communications and expectations with internal stakeholders Define the metrics of success Understand and synthesize data to make informed decisions Work closely with architects and other product managers Coordinate with teams involved in the API initiatives Drive a culture of quality, customer/developer-centricity, scalability, and reliability Communicate thoroughly with 3rd-party developers Job Requirements 8+ years of work experience in product management with at least 3 years in ecommerce marketplaces and/or developer programs Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MS/MBA preferred Experience in developing public APIs and relevant products intended for 3rd-party developers Ability to think and work independently, demonstrate creativity and deliver quick results Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a dynamic environment using a data-driven and analytical approach Proficiency in basic data analysis using tools such as SQL, Tableau, Excel Ability to lead complex projects across distributed teams and multiple client groups Experience delivering products in an agile/lean environment History of building strong relationships with senior engineers, engineering leaders, business partners, and customers Demonstrated critical thinking skills Excellent organizational, communication, and influence skills eBay Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
