About the role:
The Sr. Global Supply Chain Planner is responsible for all demand and requirements planning activities required to meet customer needs and market requirements as measured by key performance indicators for service level, backorder and Inventory targets. In addition, he/she will plan, monitor, and maintain finished goods inventory levels and related ERP system data integrity. He/She will possess the skills and aptitude required to plan multiple product lines and provide cross functional supply chain support to key stakeholders in Marketing, Regional Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Distribution. He/She will demonstrate a high level of analytical and execution skills.
Your responsibilities include:
:Demand Planning: Review statistically generated forecasts with Marketing and Global/Regional Supply Chain and contribute to consensus forecast creation. Review safety stock targets and approve changes, noting input elements resulting in change. Work with Global Marketing/Country Demand Planning and Country Operations Groups to identify all known demand sources (scheduling agreements, distributor shipment, consignment, etc.). Act as primary owner of forecasted demand signal, maintain forecasts by meeting monthly with Product Managers reviewing past performance and future forecasts (Marketing Handshake).
:New Product Launch Management: Act as Primary or back:up Supply Chain PDP Core Team Member. Develop launch plans, including forecasts, inventory targets, cannibalization plans, and introduction schedules with support from supply chain team members. Execute launch workbooks and prepare distribution chain for product launch.
:Inventory Management: Contribute to the development of inventory plans; Establish inventory targets; Monitor inventory performance to plan and targets; Manage expired, excess and obsolescence reserves; Allocate inventory to regions in short supply situations.
:Supply Chain Execution : Support daily/weekly/monthly planning processes: Maintain forecasts (Marketing Handshake); Manage net requirements; Monitor manufacturing execution (Schedule Adherence); Provide inventory analysis; Proactively manage service level exceptions and backorders.
:Contribute to monthly Sales and Operations Planning Process (S and OP)
:Achieve Performance Metrics: Service Level; Backorder; Inventory; Forecast Accuracy; Schedule Adherence, FG Scrap.
