Student Services and housing coordinator

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute cultural activities for students to learn about Costa Rican culture.
• Support to students on their different needs during their academic program.
• Manage digital platform to keep students updated on social, cultural and academic events.
• Lead excursions outside San José/Heredia during weekends. Makes sure logistics are accomplished.
• Availability one week per month for emergencies.
• Manage logistics for student´s housing with host families.
• Follow up issues between students and host family.
• Performs additional duties and responsibilities as required.

Qualifications

• Bilingual English-Spanish.
• General knowledge of Microsoft office.
• Proactive and responsible.
• Focus on customer service.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize and meet deadlines

Experience


• Experience working with groups of students.
• Able to work collaboratively with others on time sensitive incidents.
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills, verbal and written communication skills
• Self-motivation and the ability to work under minimal supervision

Education

• A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in tourism, education, international relations, or other related to customer service.
