POSITION SUMMARY - The Tender Manager will identify portfolio/products opportunities; develop/implement strategies & tactics to ensure that business meets its strategic business goals and financial objectives. The key scope of the role is to:
- Led the tender platform that will be in charge of analyzing and preparing the required information for bid participation.
- Coordinate the required activities to ensure a smart participation of Pfizer in every institutional opportunity where Pfizer can bid on.
- Ensure the satisfactory and timely fulfillment of the institutional commitments
- Develop and implement local tender strategies for working closely with country cross-functional team .
- Support Biopharma regional tender team with special projects and requirements that will enable the institutional business.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Understanding the tender market environment, competitors and customer needs to realize new strategies and tactics for the tender business
- Provide visibility to the Commercial team about the institutional performance vs institutional budget (identifying opportunities that can help to fill revenue gaps)
- Provide visibility to the PGS GSC team about the institution requirements for forecasting purposes.
- Prepare business case at a market level to obtain competitive prices that will help us keepcurrent business.
- Monitoring of tender activities by the distributors to ensure effectiveness of our participation in all bids
- Clarification of bidding conditions and management of the tender preparation.
- Monitoring of the bid management in order to ensure it is aligned with the Pfizer and distribuitors requirements
- Review the preparation of pricing, verification of source of supply requirements and lead time for delivery of the goods to the market.
- Coordination of tender reviews and deadlines and adjust them to the frameworks given by the customers
- Lead adoption and utilization of GTCS and other tools in CAC that ehnaced tender awareness, bid competitiveness, tender fufillment and optinmized business performance from tenders
- Partner with the Regional Tender team to understand priorities for Biopharma portfolio as well as leveraging learnings from other markets and tender expertise.
- Work on special projects assignements that will optimize and improve the tender process or business for CAC.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bacholer Degree
- Minimum 5 years of experience
- At least 3 years in Tenders, Project Management, or similar type roles preferred
- Additional management qualifications such as MBA or similar will be a plus.
- Fluency in both written and spoken English language.
- High level of profiencicy in Excel
- Experience in the institutional procurement system of all the countries across CAC and knowledge in the procurement system regulation (Ley de Contratación Admnistrativa) will be highly desirable
