Job Description:

Should have hands on experience : Virtualization , Clustering , Volume Manager, Database, Storage and Net backup,
:
Should have working experience following UNIX activities and UNIX tools.
:
Resoulutions of INCs : Respond to System resource based alerts Also resolve User based INCs,
:
Change task activity : Reboot, Shut down, installations , Increase and reduce file systems, create new file systems, Server patching.
:
Patch Task : Server patching, Firmware upgrade, ILO upgrade, bias upgrade
:
Storage : SAN migration, Storage allocation, NAS migration , NAS file system monitoring, path errors
:
Linux : Red Hat, AIX, Solaris
:
Virtualization : BAU activities : Shut down and restart servers. Taking console
:
Clustering : VCS, HACMP,
:
Volume Manager : VERITAS Volume, Linux : LVM, AIX:LVM, Solaris :LVM
:
Database : Oracle and Sybase : Disk management, ie Setting up disk Configuration,
:
Netback : backup restoration, backup initiation, configuration file updates, trouble shooting on backup failures.
:
Netback knowledge, Legato backup utility, HP View
Mandatory Skills
Should have worked in the role of L2 or UNIX SME (Red Hat Linux) and Secondary skills on Solaris or AIX
Should have strong hands on experience on LVM/File system/Volume Management (VERITAS) and Clustering.
Desirable Skills
Virtualization : VMware, Open Stack, AWS etc
Clustering : VCS , HACMP, REDHAT Cluster
Volume Manager : Veritas Volume, Linux : LVM, AIX:LVM, Solaris :LVM
Database : ORACLE DBA, Oracle clustering, Oracle trouble shooting, DB2, MySQL
Load Balancing : Multipath Load Balancing,
Storage Load Balancing : Power Path
