"The MT Head/ Head Trader for Citi CR is a producing manager that will lead a team of two seasoned traders to manage the MT and Trading desks. The role presents great opportunity for growth on the controls, strategic and managerial fronts, while requiring the candidate full immersion in the day to day business as a producing manager. The successful candidate will be able to design, develop, and execute a successful business strategy, by combining his strong technical proficiency, business acumen, and influence to achieve a sum positive outcome for the franchise in the country. Most importantly, the candidate will be able to manage a business cleanly, with strong controls, close supervision, and moral and ethical solvency. Responsibilities: Build a culture of responsible finance, good governance and supervision, and ethics Establish clear, constant, and effective communication channels with all stakeholders including, senior management, sales, trading, corporate treasury, banking, finance, PCU, regional leadership team, and compliance Lead Market Treasury strategies and activity to ensure permanent compliance with regulatory requirements and internal corporate mandated ratios and risk policies. Manage liquidity to ensure adequate funding to the bank under all market conditions at legal entity level in cooperation with corporate cluster treasurer, country treasurer and MT head Manage the interest rate risk of the balance sheet within the Volcker desk mandate, optimize returns on the investment portfolio while managing Cost to Close and OCI (Other Comprehensive Income). Help guide the country ALCO discussions and contribute to comprehensive analysis and discussions on balance sheet strategies for an optimal resource allocation Provide strong supervision and strategic direction to the FX and Rates business Produce Revenue for the firm through direct efforts Liaise and promote business between the sales and trading team in coordination with the Markets Head and the product partners Establish clear and transparent pricing to maximize flow in FX and FI Give focus to the offshore investor access business through GDN/NDF/Notes Work closely with CSS and GIS to develop and deploy the right products and strategies in CR Recruit and retain experienced hires and campus talent in coordination with HR, promoting a diverse and talented workforce Lead and challenge the other traders to excellence Develop and manage the risk and trading infrastructure, including portfolio risk, and ensure risks are correctly represented Coordinate with control functions to ensure governance and control infrastructure is in place, and communication with regulators is productive Promote innovative ways to execute existing businesses, develop an innovation culture Drive data analysis projects to achieve business insight into existing or new processes Work in close partnership with control functions such as Legal, Compliance, Market and Credit Risk, Audit, Finance in order to ensure appropriate governance and control infrastructure Be familiar with and adhere to Citi’s Code of Conduct and the Plan of Supervision for Global Markets and Securities Services; and ensure that all team members understand the need to do the same Obtain and maintain all registrations/licenses which are required for your role, within the appropriate timeframe Qualifications: 5-10 years of experience in a related role Required licensing and registrations as applicable preferred In-depth knowledge of respective products and clients Proven history of successful Markets Treasury and Trading book management Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication Education: Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience Master’s degree preferred ------------------------------------------------- Grade :All Job Level - All Job FunctionsAll Job Level - All Job Functions - CR ------------------------------------------------------ Time Type :Full time ------------------------------------------------------ Citi is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer.
