You will succeed because you are highly organized and passionate about ensuring the financial health of assigned projects throughout the project life cycle, from project due diligence to client invoicing and collections. Join a team of highly creative, collaborative colleagues and partner with Gensler project managers to ensure our projects are beautiful and financially sound.What You Will DoWork closely with Design Managers, clients, and consultants to discuss billing and financial issuesInterpret financial data in contracts and billings and accurately convey themFollow up and assist with collection effortsMaintain and monitor project-specific budgets / spreadsheets/reportsDetermine and set up the best billing terms and invoice formatsPrepare and process invoices in line with project contractual arrangementsAdhere to the monthly invoicing deadlinesRetrieve and match back-up to invoices where necessaryMeet regularly with Design Managers and Studio Directors to review schedule, billing, held time, and collection issuesPrepare journal entries and research General ledger issuesDevelop an understanding of our accounting software so that you are seen as an expert and a resource to staffCross-train and work closely with other team members so that we function as a cohesive and high-performing team. Assist the team with any ad-hoc projects or analyses.Your QualificationsBachelor's degree in accounting is required5 years of experience working as accountantBilingual in English SpanishExcellent Excel skills and proficiency with MS Office productsHighly organized, detail-oriented with a high level of accuracyExperience in dealing with multiple currencies, exchange rates, and taxesExperience with Consortium accounting is a plusStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively engage different personality typesMust be able to prioritize and meet deadlinesAbility to work within a team environment and work independentlyAnalytical, Proactive, Problem solverAble to work well under pressure with multiple tasks and deadlinesAbility to communicate effectively with individuals at all levelsLife at GenslerAt Gensler, we are as committed to enjoying life as we are to delivering best-in-class design.
