This position plays an integral part in developing and implementing sourcing strategies for the buying desk. Will be responsible for executing spot buys, sourcing events, and projects related activities for the multiple categories.Key Responsibilities- Lead strategic and tactical sourcing activities with spend up to $2.5 M- Manage contract lifecycle process (including uploading contracts, developing standard templates, and monitoring/tracking expiry)- Craft negotiation strategies and close deals with optimal terms for assigned spend categories- Research potential vendors, develop and execute RFP for spend between $100-$2.5 M- Partner with stakeholders to ensure clear requirements documentation is translated to RFP and contracts as appropriate- Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking to inform sourcing decisions- Negotiate contract terms of agreement and pricing delivering and record annual P&L savings- Support projects assigned for various sourcing activities- Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectivenessWorld leader in serving science**Requisitos**:CompetenciesFunctional & technical skillsSourcing expert - strong experience with sourcing process, supplier management, contract negotiations and procure to pay operationsExperience with ERP systems, spend analytics, eSourcing, and contract management systems requiredExcellent category-specific sourcing and category management skills in key portfolios of spend in Direct (e.g., Biochemical, Packaging, or Chemicals)Expert understanding of multi-step strategic sourcing processes and strategiesExperience negotiating agreements/contracts with suppliers.Understanding of procurement processes, tools, and best practicesLeadership & BehavioralAgility and flexibility to develop expertise across sourcing categories in areas complementary to the existing teamDesire to grow and develop as a sourcing specialist and develop category expertise across Direct portfolios (e.g., Electrical, Mechanical, Packaging or Chemicals)Thrive in an entrepreneurial environment - a self-starter who looks for ways to improve existing processesStrong customer service orientation, keen to deliver on internal customer needsIndependent worker with the ability to track and manage own deadlinesAbility to gather, interpret, and analyze data to inform sourcing decisions.Analytical thinker who makes decisions using data and insights - will need to prepare an analysis to develop sourcing strategy/scenarios / savings desire to mentor and coach junior team membersExperience & Qualification5+ years of procurement experience within Direct categories (e.g., Biochemical, Packaging or Chemicals)Proven working experience as a buyer, senior buyer, purchasing specialist agent or officer.Must have a degree in supply chain management, operations or business administrationHigh level of English language competency (verbal and written)BeneficiosMonday to Friday
