Workday is embarking on our next growth adventure, and we are growing and expanding our presence in Central America with a multi-functional team located in Costa Rica.About the RoleThe Senior Director, Finance & Costa Rica Site Leader will serve both as:- Local Site leader representing Workday in all manners of administration and local activities to ensure successful development of the company's presence in Costa Rica and drive a vibration Workday community across all organizations that establish a presence in Costa Rica.- Local leader for all CFO operations.Site leadership responsibilities:- Represent company in all matters with Government agencies as appropriate, including but not limited to:- Work with Legal on all matters related to establishment and continuity of Workday's FTZ status.-- In partnership with Workday's Global HR Compliance team, ensure compliance and represent Workday in all matters related to the labor risk policy with the Instituto Naticonal de Seguros.Represent the best interests of all Workmates in Costa Rica in areas related to employee wellness, including coordinating local team building, guiding and incorporating Workday values across all aspects of site/employee base, ensuring active Workmate engagement and happiness.- Build site leadership team that can develop programming for site including but not limited to skill /leadership development, community service activities, VIBE activities, etc.-- Build the local brand for Workday as a marquee employer of choice. This would include working with HR, Employee Communications, Talent Acquisition and all other groups that are placing Workmate roles in Costa Rica site. This could include working with local institutions/agencies that will attract the right talent to Workday.- Promote work within the company site to ensure teamwork across the full organization and driving Workday culture/values.- Evangelize talent, capabilities & skills that can be found within Costa Rica to Workday leadership to drive growth of site.- Serve as host for all Workday executives / Government officials, etc.- Partner with Real Estate & Workplace services coordinator to ensure location is safe and is conducive for all business operations using the site.- Partner with Business Technologies (IT) organization to ensure office supports all organizational needs as it relates to systems, access, and security.- Partner with global People and Purpose (HR), including global HR Compliance in all matters related to People and Purpose until a time when a local Workday HR employee can be hired on site.Local leader of CFO Operations/Organizations responsibilities:- Provide training and development to all CFO employees at Costa Rica location.- Engage with all managers/leaders with organizations in Costa Rica to ensure continued development of Workmates and ensure Workmates are delivering on day-to-day activities, assisting with performance management, etc.- Address questions, facilitate training and any and all other requests of CFO Leadership Team for CFO workmates within the Costa Rica site.- Serve as matrix leader for all CFO Workmates within Costa Rica site.- Serve as Business Finance leader and lead all day to day activities of Business Finance workmates within Costa Rica which may include leading forecast and close cycles, bookings and sales reporting, analysis across Sales and Corporate Finance among other finance activities.This position will be a hybrid, in-office role in our office location in Heredia.
