SUMMARY:Responsible for the network and computer security for Crowley, all infrastructure included (on-prem, cloud and vessel), as a member of the Cyber Security team.GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:Research information security standards by conducting various system security and vulnerability analyses and risk assessments. Plan, implement and test security systems to identify integration issues. Develop security standards, policies and procedures. Verifies security systems by developing and implementing test scripts. Create requirements for local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), virtual private networks (VPNs), routers, cloud, firewalls, and related security and network devices. Specify intrusion detection methodologies and equipment by directing equipment and software installation and calibration. Monitor the security environment by identifying security gaps, responding to incidents,evaluating and implementing enhancements. Prepare system security reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing data and trends. Work with Managed Security Services providers to improve Crowley's security posture.QualificationsEDUCATION:Bachelor's degree in computer science, business, information systems or a related field; or a combination of post high school education and experience.EXPERIENCE:5 - 7 years of experience related to information security administration, project management, and/or application security.TECHNICAL PROFICIENCY:Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office365 environment and products, including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel. Proficient understanding of security issues, network hardware configuration, protocols, techniques and implications across one or more computer platforms. Working knowledge of Client/Server Applications, Cloud, Firewalls and various network security monitoring tools.COMPETENCIES:Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing, including conveying technical information to technical and non-technical users. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal/external business partners. Ability to evaluate process effectiveness and develop change or alternatives. Ability to prioritize, organize and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously. Ability to function effectively with, or as part of a team. Ability to effectively manage projects that may vary in nature and scope. Ability to interface software and business applications with other systems. Ability to provide subject matter expertise, counsel, and effectively influence others at various levels within the organization. Knowledge of applicable computer software, operating systems and standard programming languages, concepts, practices and procedures. Knowledge of and the ability to utilize tools, concepts, principles, and practices of data collection, analysis and testing.JOB SCOPE:Position impacts the entire organization.WORKING CONDITIONS:Normal office environment with little exposure to excessive noise, dust, temperature and the like. Extended use of a computer keyboard, viewing of a computer monitor and the ability to sit for long periods of time.
