Provide case management within assigned location as it relates to leave of absence needs**Key Responsibilities**:- Serve as an advisor and administrator of LOA (leave of absence) programs. Provide guidance and recommendations to stakeholders (e.g., HR, plant Leaders, BU leaders) and determine eligibility for various leave types and communicate to employees on needed information.- Provide case management of all LOA claims within the US location; including conducting and documenting factual investigations, analyzing records, and providing recommendation on appropriate outcomes. Oversee and refine and the LOA E2E process and partner with other relevant stakeholders (e.g., Payroll, Employee Relations and Legal)- Provide input to program development related to assigned function to improve the employee experience, balanced with function-specific needs and drivers. Provide information and insights to Functional Team Leaders to continuously improve HR Knowledge Base and Case Management content.- Maintain reporting metrics (e.g., trending) and provide insights to HR, plant leaders and BU's- Maintain complete and accurate records in accordance with specified legal requirements and documentation of best practices- Develop overall continuous improvement processes. Effectively utilize human resource technology, resource material, websites, and software to provide effective information on processes.- Proactively stay up to date on trends and developments within HR systems and technology, proactively providing ideas and information to leaders regarding best practices and trends. Work to enhance own capability.- Other incidental duties**Education and Experience**:Bachelor's Degree in related field, required; on e (1) year of previous related experience in leave of absence programs, required**Additional Skills**:- Experience with an ERP system (Workday preferred)- Experience and understanding of HR enabling technologies (e.g., case management, employee and manager self-service) and how they work within a customer service business environment (ServiceNow preferred)- Good computer skills in usage of MS Office Suite- Good written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills, fluent in English.- Good problem-solving, organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills- Moderate knowledge and understanding of Edwards policies, procedures and guidelines relevant to leave of absence and/or worker's compensation programs- Moderate knowledge of federal or state leave and disability regulations, FMLA, California Pregnancy Disability Leave, CFRA, Paid Family Leave, and Intermittent Leave- Ability to operate effectively and proactively in a customer service environment with a customer focus and employee experience mindset- Strict attention to detail- Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment- Ability to work in a team environment, including inter-departmental teams and representing the organization on specific projects- Ability to build productive internal/external working relationships- Adhere to all company rules and requirements (e.g., pandemic protocols, Environmental Health & Safety rules) and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/controlAbout Edwards LifesciencesEdwards Lifesciences is the global leader in patient-focused medical innovations for structural heart disease, as well as critical care and surgical monitoring.
