The Associate Buyer is primarily responsible for selecting and working with a group of suppliers in support of domestic production and new product development. Suppliers will include domestic and international locations. Main duties include: Oversees the entire procurement process and enters the data into the system for everyone to see and work on regarding delivery dates and all other required data Contacts suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveries and to resolve shortages, missed or delayed deliveries, and other issues. Direct communication with logistics providers for the coordination of DUAS for the import and export of goods as appropriate. In charge of any process that must be carried out directly with customs. Prepare MRO (maintenance, repair, and operation) purchases for necessary supplies, services, and office parts Responsible for maintaining and growing a relationship with the company's suppliers. Supports supply chain/materials management. Generates, adjusts and expedites purchase orders based on MRP (material requirements planning) along with pertinent information being used to run the business, i.e. schedule adherence, S&OP. Generates buy action based on authorized spending budget. Coordinates with the planning area to maintain optimal inventory levels and determine the proper priorities for material support. Shopping for Kamba's & MIN MAX -MAS purchases, Tracks and monitors purchase orders, keeping informed of any problems/delays and communicates any impacts/constraints to the Planner(s), manufacturing manager/supervisor or engineering discipline impacted by the change Monitors and communicates quality and delivery performance to the supplier and global operations team Responsible to resolve supplier related problems (works closely with vendors to assure a positive and professional relationship always establishing and maintaining open lines of communication) Adheres to CGMP and FDA requirements Reviews and approves all raw material document change orders Maintains accurate purchasing master data, AVL, info record, etc. Interfaces with Manufacturing, Planning and Quality to ensure timely throughput and proper prioritization of materials received. Requirements Advanced studies or bachelors 'degree in Business administration, engineering, or related areas 1 to 2 years manufacturing/supply chain experience with progressive responsibilities Strong customer service capabilities. Intemediate-Advanced English level (B1) Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of Free trade Zone regime is preferred. Direct and/or Indirect buying/purchasing preferred. Experience with sourcing for new product development preferred. Advanced management 365 Office (Excel) Epicor knowledge preferred. Medical Device Industry Experience preferred.
