As an Incident Responder, you'll play a pivotal role in fortifying and protecting our environment against cyber threats. Your collaboration with peers across IT and the wider organization, as well as with leadership, will be instrumental in driving positive change and ensuring the ongoing security of our environment. Coordinate incident response efforts, including containment, analysis, eradication, and recovery phases. Work with internal teams and our partner MSSPs to develop and implement incident response plans and playbooks. Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration tests on network infrastructure, systems, and applications. Work closely with IT teams to prioritize and remediate identified vulnerabilities in a timely manner. Perform security audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Provide recommendations for continuous improvement based on audit findings and industry best practices. Promote a security-conscious culture throughout the organization. Work together with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of security measures. Maintain accurate documentation related to incident reaction plans, vulnerability assessments, and security configurations. Participate in compensated on-call duty, typically averaging two weekends per quarter. Qualifications, Skills, and Education Required: Minimum 3 years of IT experience, with at least one year focused on cybersecurity. Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. Proven experience as a Cyber Security Engineer focusing on Incident Response and Vulnerability Assessment. Knowledge of Axonious, Rapid7, Pentera, Exabeam, or similar SIEM, Vulnerability Assessment, and Cybersecurity Asset Management tools In-depth knowledge of common vulnerabilities and exposure (CVE) databases and vulnerability assessment tools. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, able to react to security incidents effectively. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Thorough comprehension of the latest security technologies, frameworks, and protocols. Excellent written and verbal communication skills at both technical and management levels. Experience planning, prioritizing, and organizing work in all required areas. Working knowledge of NIST CSF, STRIDE, CVSS, MITRE ATT&CK and D3FEND frameworks. Relevant certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Incident Handler (GCIH), or Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) are highly desirable.
